not those cheap fake ones May 11, 2010

I was suprised that this wasnt one of those fake ones they make, as i had gotten one before on ebay for my w810 and it stopped working after a couple months. But i have been using this for ~5-6 months now and its still functioning. This one really looks like good quality and sounds are good quality.
I have had some problems lately that i cant make a call when the earphones are connected sometimes(i press call but it just goes back to my home screen on the phone). I am not sure if somethings wrong with the phone and/or it is just the earphones. Either way i use these to listen to music on my phone, which they are great for, not make calls.

Excellent product, it is authentic with original plastic container, not like the other pictures posted with it in a zip lock bag, also has 3 different sizes ear tips to change from (small, medium, and large) =)

This frikkin thing is inferior to the one that came with the phone when I bought it! I was listening to music in the office and i turned in my chair, the cord caught on the arm of the chair and it popped out. Now with the original piece it would not have broken. But this newer cord broke in 2 weeks flat!!

The HPM-70 earbuds are quite poor quality compared to at least two other Sony-Ericsson models. I was surprised given their supposed original list price of $30. I looked hard for indications that they were fake, but they seem genuine, are branded Sony-Ericsson, and came in original type packaging.
Sound is not that clear, and is very lacking in bass. This is not fixed by boosting the bass input.
Nothing like the HPM-77 for sound quality and fit. If you want to use them for music as well as speech, get the HPM-77 which are very high quality.
The built in microphone with included switch to allow receiving calls is very useful if you are listening to music when a call comes in. This feature is also in the mores expensive HPM-77.

I was really bummed when I lost mine and when I found these at such a good price I decided to try them. I received the product on 8/28/09 which was a lot faster than indicated on my shipping notice. I hooked them into my phone and they worked great. I would definitely buy from this seller again. The quality of the sound is good and the antenna built into the wires gets great reception.
